Berekum Chelsea striker, Stephen Amankona agrees on a deal to join Egyptian side Smouha SC.

The highly rated Ghanaian striker, has agreed on a three year deal with Egyptian club FC Smouha with the deal pending to be official and the attacker joining in the coming days. The 25 year old striker has established himself as one of the very reliable goal poachers in the Ghanaian Premier League as he has claimed the Premier League Golden Boot Award in two successive seasons (2023-2024 and 2024-2025).

Amankona made a return to The Bibires from a brief stint with Asante Kotoko before the start of the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season and has since proved himself as a pivotal figure in the team, racking up crucial goals for the club.

His back-to-back goal king is a testament to his qualities as a prolific striker in the Ghanaian top-flight. The Egyptian club is recruiting the forward as part of efforts to strengthen their squad for the upcoming 2025-2026 campaign.
