Coach of Premier league side Ebusua Dwarfs, Ernest Thompson says he nearly lost his life in a barbaric attack from rampaging Berekum Chelsea fans.

Coach Thompson was beaten to pulp on Sunday when his side played as guest of Berekum Chelsea in their Matchday 20 encounter at the Golden City park.

He was hospitalised after being subjected to severe beating in suspicion of possessing juju.

“They beat me like a thief, it was so barbaric, that I nearly lost my life’ he told Asempa FM.

“The fans entered pur dressing room took all our equipments including our water, and othwr food supplements denying the club any opportunity to warm up before the game.”

Their incidence comes just a week after officials of the FA, led by the President Kurt Okraku, had visited the region where they campaign against hooliganism.

Mr Ernest Thompson said they held him up, removed his dress, and hauled him out of the Golden City park in an act he has never seen in football all his life.

He was rushed to the Sunyani Government hospital before the game could end following the attack on him and his technical men, for ‘possessing juju’ during the game.

Ebusua Dwarfs took an early lead in the game in Berekum but had to succumb to 2 goals from Chelsea in the second half.
