JHS student attempts to kill teacher for punishing him

A teacher of the Birim B/A Junior High School in the Nsuta District of the Ashanti Region, Sandra Oparebea has said she fears for her life after a student from the school attempted killing her.

The JHS 1 student, Richard Koduah had allegedly wanted to kill the teacher for punishing him for being absent from school.

The teacher said the attempt on her life happened last Saturday at about 12:30 am while she was asleep.

She told Accra-based Onua FM that the student secretly entered her room through the roof carrying a knife and machete.

He was later found by the teacher and co-tenants after they had traced a strange noise they heard from the room.

Koduah was said to have confessed that he was there to kill his teacher, Ms Oparebea.

The case has since been reported to the Police but the teacher said she would want to be transferred from the town.
