Jordan banking on experience

Kuala Lumpur: Cyprus-based Musa Al Taamari will lead Jordan for the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019.



The West Asians announced their final squad of 23 for the Continental showpiece which kicks off in 10 days with Al-Taamari, who plays for APOEL, leading a well experienced squad.



Head coach Vital Borkelmans included stalwarts Amer Shafi, Anas Bani Yaseen and Yaseen Al-Bakhit but defender Ihsan Haddad, who is nursing an injury, missed out.

Jordan open their Group B campaign against defending champions Australia on January 8 before playing Syria (January 10) and Palestine (January 15).
