The Jubilee House  has made an egregious spelling error in its statement announcing the sack of EC Boss and her two deputies, raising questions over the kind of proofreading done at its communication department.

The communication directorate of the house mispelled the word "chairperson" as "chaiperson" in a press release that announced the sacking of Mrs Charlotte Osei and her two deputies, Mr Amadu Sulley and Ms Georgina Opoku Amankwah.

The EC officials, according to the statement,  were fired due to misbehaviour and incompetence  pursuant to article 146(1) of the constitution.

Despite Eugene Arhin being the  Director of Communication (at the Presidency), Thursday's statement was signed by the Minister of Information Mustapha Abdul Hamid, indicating he is the head of the head of the communication directorate at jubilee house.

He also heads the ministry of Information and has three deputies, being part of the 110 ministers appointed by the President in 2017.

The  number of ministers and their deputies appointed by the Akufo Addo administration has been a subject of discussion and condemnation from Ghanaians.

But the President said "it was a necessary investment to make for the rapid transformation of this country".

Mr Mustapha Hamid(PHD) with his deputies, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Ama Dokuaa Asiamah Agyei, and Perry Curtis Okudzeto, form the communication directorate at the Jubilee House together with  Eugene Arhin.

Their personalities and experiences form a strong communication team at the Presidency.

It is however not known how many stages of thorough checks were done before the press release was issued for public consumption, a development that suggests no double-check was done and further questions the usefulness of three deputies at the ministry in addition to the Director of Communication at the Presidency.
