Just In: Former Zebilla MP John Akparibo Ndebugre dies

Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Zebilla Constituency John Akparibo Ndebugre has died at the age of 72 at his residence in Zebilla after a short ailment.
He is a native of Tinmonde in the Bawku West District in the Upper East Region
The private legal practitioner is said to have passed away in the early hours of Friday 6th May, 2022.
He attended the Zebilla Middle School before attending the Navrongo Secondary School after which he furthered his studies at the KNUST where he studied chemical engineering.
He was a leader of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) during his school days at the University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and was a bundle of nerves for the I.K Acheampong regime that ruled from 13 January 1972 to 5 July 1978, when it was deposed in a palace coup.
The late Ndebugri later read law and was called to the bar and had an impeccable practise as a lawyer.
The Engineer who later turned lawyer joined the PNDC regime under former President Rawlings and served in various capacities.
He later joined the PNC, NDC and the NPP.
The late politician, lawyer and engineer is survived by a wife and four children.
