The Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Samuel Nartey George, has once again extended support to the Muslim community in his constituency as part of activities marking the holy month of Ramadan.

Speaking during the donation exercise on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, the MP said the initiative, which has become an annual tradition, is aimed at supporting vulnerable Muslims to adequately prepare for the Eid celebrations.

According to him, the donation was made possible through a partnership with the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which supported the initiative for the second consecutive year.

“This is the second year the UAE Embassy has partnered with me. They provided 80 boxes for Ramadan iftars, and from my own resources, I have also provided rice,” he stated.

Mr George disclosed that in total, about 250 bags of rice and 150 boxes of cooking oil are being distributed to branch executives and members of the general public within the constituency.

“When you add what we’re giving to the branch executives and the general public, we’re doing about 250 bags of rice and about 150 boxes of oil to support them—especially those who need a bit of help to be able to celebrate the Eid,” he explained.

He described the gesture as part of his commitment to social responsibility and inclusiveness, stressing that supporting constituents during significant religious occasions remains a priority.

The donation was warmly received by members of the Muslim community, who expressed gratitude to the MP and his partners for the continued support during Ramadan.
