Kirin Cup: 18 players arrive in camp as Black Stars assemble ahead of Japan friendly

Preparations are in full swing for Ghana’s upcoming international friendly against Japan in the 2025 Kirin Challenge Cup, with 18 players currently in camp at the Ana Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nagoya.

Sixteen players arrived on Tuesday, joining home-based duo Kelvin Nkrumah and Prince Owusu, who travelled from Accra on Sunday.

The 18 men in camp arrived in Nagoya in style as they converged in a spirited manner to commence camping ahead of the friendlies:

The Black Stars are set to feature in the Kirin Challenge  Cup with their first game coming off against Japan, then they lock horns with South Korea four days later.

With several key players absent, this camp offers new faces a chance to impress and Otto Addo an opportunity to test squad depth ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
