Contrary to media reports that coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Kjetil Zachariassen has gone AWOL or missing his agent has clarified the situation of his beleaguered client.

Pressure has been mounting on the Norwegian trainer since Kotoko's elimination from the Caf Confederations Cup at the hands of Ivorian minnows San Pedro Fc.

The porcupine warriors were on Sunday beaten by San Pedro Fc at the Stade Felix Houphouet Boigny in Abidjan by two goals to nil to eliminate Asante Kotoko from the Confederations Cup.

Even before that Kotoko had been eliminated under excruciating circumstance when they lost to a 10 man Etoile du Sahel side 3 nil at home after winning by 2 goals to nil in Kumasi.

After the defeat the Danish coach granted an interview insinuating that the Champions league was above Kotoko's level and the Confederations cup which they were eliminated from on Sunday was their real level.

Charles Kouadio agent of Zacharisen has made a startling revelation saying that his client didn't return to Ghana because Executive chairman of Asante Kotoko told him to relay an information to his client that his safety cannot be assured if he returns to Ghana with the team.

"Management of Asante Kotoko asked me to tell the coach that they cannot guarantee his safety so he has left to his house in Abidjan.

It's not true he is missing but rather Dr Kyei and Nana Coker told me I should tell him they can't guarantee his safety looking at what has happened and what the supporters did." he told Oyerepa Fm.

Elimination from the Confederation's cup is the second time this year under Kjetil Zacchariassen that Asante Kotoko have been knocked out of Africa first after suffering elimination from the Champions league.
