Kumasi Asante Kotoko have some good news to talk about as long term injury absentee Ishmael Abdul Ganiyu is close to full fitness after nearly two months out with an injury.
Kotoko had to battle in the Caf Caf Champions league without the services of their defensive stalwart as he was nursing an injury he sustained about two months ago.
The player who initial diagnosis was that he had to go under the knife is said to have swerved the surgery as his troublesome knee is very fine.
But all the doubts will be made clearer on Tuesday when he undergoes scans to determine whether he still needs the surgery or will have to resort to the therapeutic natural healing process.
The defender when given the all clear is expected to be back in action in the middle of next month.
His availability will be a timely boost to the African cup campaign of the porcupine warriors.
