Former Communications Director at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and currently CAF Head of Media Relations, Ibrahim Sannie Daara, believes that Mohammed Kudus will not warm the bench at any club he joins, adding that the former Nordsjaelland star is more talented than Arsenal forward, Bukayo Saka.

Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus is at the centre of one of the summer's most intriguing transfer stories, as interest in the West Ham United star intensifies — with one respected African football official declaring he’s already more gifted than England’s Bukayo Saka.

Ibrahim Sannie Daara, former Communications Director at the Ghana Football Association and current Head of Media Relations at the Confederation of African Football (CAF), has boldly claimed that Kudus would start for any top-tier club in world football, adding that the 24-year-old’s raw talent exceeds that of Arsenal’s much-lauded forward.

“There is no team that Mohammed Kudus will go to and be on the bench,” Daara told Ghana’s 3Sports. “Kudus is more talented than Bukayo Saka.”

The endorsement comes as Kudus continues to be heavily linked with a move away from West Ham. After an outstanding debut season in England — netting 14 goals and providing 6 assists across all competitions — the versatile attacker is believed to be pushing for a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur, despite reported interest from Chelsea and clubs in the Saudi Pro League.

Tottenham had an initial £50 million bid rejected by the Hammers, who are holding out for considerably more. Kudus reportedly has an £85 million release clause for Premier League clubs, active only during the first 10 days of July, while European clubs would need to pay around £80 million. Saudi Arabian sides, however, have been quoted a staggering £120 million.

Sources close to the player say Kudus is prioritising Champions League football and a long-term footballing project — factors that could give Spurs the edge, with the North London club keen to rebuild under manager Ange Postecoglou.

West Ham, meanwhile, are under pressure to sell before they can reinvest. Kudus, along with teammate Lucas Paquetá, is considered one of the club’s most valuable assets. Having joined from Dutch side Ajax in 2023, the Ghanaian’s rapid adaptation to Premier League football has elevated his reputation beyond expectations.

What makes Kudus particularly attractive to suitors is his versatility. Comfortable as a right winger, attacking midfielder or false nine, he combines close control with explosive power, dribbling flair and a growing end-product — traits that have made him a standout not just for West Ham but also for Ghana at international level.

Sannie Daara’s comparison to Bukayo Saka — who has emerged as England’s poster boy and a key figure in Arsenal’s resurgence — will spark debate, but it also underlines the growing belief in African football circles that
