Medeama SC head coach Nebojsa Kapor expressed his satisfaction after his side's hard-fought 2-1 win over Basake Holy Stars on Matchday 4 of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Anyinase.

The Yellow and Mauves took the lead in the 58th minute when defender Kamaradini Mamudu found the back of the net.

However, the Premier League newcomers quickly responded, with Isaah Yakubu equalizing just three minutes later.

Despite the setback, Medeama regained control of the game as experienced striker Diawisie Taylor scored the decisive goal in the 66th minute, securing all three points for the reigning league champions.

Speaking after the match, coach Nebojsa Kapor praised his team’s performance. "I want to congratulate my players for this victory.

It’s a deserved victory, and I also want to thank the fans who came out to support us. We are playing for them, and this win is for all of us,” he said.

Medeama SC will now turn their attention to their next match, as they prepare to host Heart of Lions at the TnA Stadium in a Matchday 5 clash on Saturday, September 5.
