‎Medeama SC delivered a dominant performance to thrash Asante Kotoko 4-0 and climb to the top of the Ghana Premier League table.

‎The hosts took control early in the first half, opening the scoring in the 14th minute through a deflected effort after a foul on Samba was waved on by the referee.

‎Medeama doubled their advantage in the 30th minute before adding a third just four minutes later, leaving Kotoko reeling before the break with the score at 3-0.

‎There was little respite for the visitors after halftime, as Medeama struck again in the 49th minute to seal an emphatic victory in front of their home fans.

‎The result sees Medeama return to the summit of the league standings with 53 points, edging ahead of Bibiani Gold Stars, who sit second on 51 points.

‎Kotoko, meanwhile, drop to sixth place with 43 points, while Hearts of Oak occupy third position. Aduana FC and FC Samartex 1996 complete the top five.

‎The emphatic win not only strengthens Medeama’s title credentials but also intensifies what is shaping up to be a fiercely contested race for the Ghana Premier League crown.
