Aduana FC booked their place in the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup after a commanding 3–0 victory over Techiman Liberty Youth on Saturday.
The quarter-final clash, played at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, saw the Dormaa-based side dominate much of the contest as they comfortably progressed to the last four.
Aduana opened the scoring in the 39th minute when striker Daouda Ben Sidibe finished off a well-worked attacking move to give the Fire Club the lead heading into the break.
The home side continued to control proceedings after halftime and eventually doubled their advantage nine minutes from full time. Midfielder Alex Boakye found the net to effectively kill Liberty Youth’s hopes of a comeback.
With the visitors unable to respond, Emanuel Marfo added a third deep into stoppage time, scoring in the 92nd minute to seal an emphatic victory.
The win sends Aduana into the semi-finals, where they will face the winner of the quarter-final match between Nations FC and Berekum Chelsea, scheduled to be played on Sunday at the same venue.
Elsewhere in the competition, Dreams FC will take on Heart of Lions at the Cape Coast Stadium, while Medeama SC face lower-tier side Attram De Visser Soccer Academy in another quarter-final encounter.
