A Nations FC player, Raymond Oko Grippman, has been suspended for five matches following an incident during a Ghana Premier League fixture against Asante Kotoko.
Raymond Oko Grippman has been sanctioned by the league’s Disciplinary Committee after being found guilty of misconduct during the match. Officials ruled that the player engaged in unsporting behaviour after committing a foul and deliberately stamping on the thigh of an opponent.
The suspension takes immediate effect, meaning Grippman will miss Nations FC’s next five league games.
In addition to the ban, the committee issued a formal warning to the player, stating that any further misconduct could lead to more severe disciplinary action.
The decision highlights ongoing efforts by football authorities to enforce discipline and uphold fair play in the Ghana Premier League. Read full statement below
