Newly promoted Belgium Pro League side, RAAL La Louvière announce the signing of Jerry Afriyie on loan

Ghanaian starlet, Jerry Afriyie joins newly promoted Belgian Pro League side, RAAL La Louvière on a season-long loan deal from Saudi Arabian outfit, Al Qadsiah.
The Ghanaian teenager who rose rapidly into prominence due to his enormous capabilities and efficacy on the pitch and was tipped to become one of Ghana's biggest exports for his age, has made a sensational transfer move from the Gulf to Europe yet again after spending the 2024/25 season on loan at Spanish tier 3 side, CD Lugo immediately after signing for the Saudi Pro League side from Ghanaian tier 3 side, Thoughts FC.
Afriyie in the Primera Federacion with CD Lugo in the 2024/25 season, notched four goals and registered two assists in ten games as he exhibited great attributes like speed, power, tenacity and his unabating goal scoring prowess in the league that caught the attention of numerous European clubs as he finally got to join Belgian top tier side, RAAL La Louvière as part of his developmental project in Europe.
The 18 year old attacker made history in 2024 as he became the the first player from a Ghanaian third tier club to be called up to the senior national team at age 17 and also scored on his debut. This was in an African Cup of Nations qualifier against Niger when Ghana lost to Niger as he scored the only goal for Ghana in a 2-1 loss at home.
He also featured for the national U20 team, the Black Satellites in the 2025 U20 African Cup of Nations in Egypt when Ghana lost a chance into the last four when hosts, Egypt edged past the Satellites on penalties to sail through.
The club, in the Hainut locality of Belgium announced the signing of the highly-rated Ghanaian starlet as he was handed the number 22 shirt. Hours after joining his new teammates, the club wasted no time in granting the Ghanaian his debut as he came on as a substitute in the beginning of the second half as they locked horns in a heated goalless stalemate against defending champions of the league title, Royal Union Saint Gilloise, a club where Afriyie's compatriot and Black Stars teammate, Mohammed Fuseini Gadafi plies his trade but missed the game as he was not in the matchday squad.
