The Vice President and Flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has assured the Chiefs and people of Adaklu, that his government will continue to ensure more development for the area, other parts of the Volta Region and the entire country as President.

Dr. Bawumia has been touring the Volta Region since Sunday, and as part of his campaign, visited the Adaklu Constituency on Tuesday.

Speaking to stakeholders of the community including Chiefs, Imams, the Clergy and community members, Dr. Bawumia said the NPP government, in the past seven and half years, has done a lot for the area, more than the NDC did in its combined 16 years in power in the 4th Republic, assuring that he, as President, will do even more for them.

Dr. Bawumia listed a number of projects the NPP has brought to the community, including a stadium.

'We have brought potable drinking water to Adaklu. We have built a Youth Resource Centre, a stadium here in Adaklu. We have brought a district police command to Adaklu. We have built a Magistrate court with a bungalow just as is done in every district. We are building an Agenda 111 hospital right here in Adaklu. So this tells you our philosophy in economic development," Dr. Bawumia said.

'The roads, when the NDC was in government for 16 years, they didn't build the roads for you, but we are making a lot of efforts in many areas. So we believe that Adaklu will do better under the NPP and under Dr. Bawumia because we have shown what we can do. The evidence is clear."

"We are here to solve problems. That is what government is supposed to do. You look for the problems of the people and you try to solve them. And I am proud to call myself a problem solver. So when I take these problems away from here, I will go and look for ways to solve them for you."

The Vice President added that with the Constitution guaranteeing him a possible two terms in office, unlike his opponent, former President Mahama, who can do only a term, he will be more accountable to the people because he will seek re-election and will work harder to earn more of their trust.

He, therefore, urged the community and the Region to support him as President so that he will be able to implement his inclusive vision, which he shared to the stakeholders, to move the country forward.
