Newly promoted Serbian side OFK Beograd is making headlines in the Superliga, boasting an impressive record of seven wins, one draw, and two losses in their first ten league matches.

Central to this remarkable performance are Black Stars midfielder Edmund Addo and left-back Ebenezer Annan, both of whom joined the club on loan from Crvena Zvezda this summer.

Their contributions have been pivotal in elevating the team's standing in the league.

Reflecting on the team's unexpected success, Addo remarked, "No, I did not expect the club to be at this position at the moment. But it's also not a surprise to me.

Typically, when a club gets promoted to the top-tier league, the expectation is often to fight against relegation."

Despite the high stakes, Addo remains optimistic about their trajectory. "I'm not surprised by our performance and results because individually every player is giving his maximum both in training and in games," he stated.

He further attributed the team’s strong unity and commitment to their coach’s strategy for their success: "As a collective, we're committed to listening to the coach and implementing his strategy on the pitch.

The coach is a very good man-manager, fostering unity and a shared purpose among the players and management. This is why we're performing above expectations."

As OFK Beograd continues to defy odds in the Superliga, the contributions of Addo and Annan are proving invaluable in their pursuit of success.
