Osman Addo makes Viborg debut in Danish Cup semi-final defeat
12th February 2026
Danish-Ghanaian winger Osman Addo has made his official debut for Viborg FF, featuring in their Danish Cup semi-final clash against FC Copenhagen.
The 21-year-old, who joined Viborg from Boldklubben in January, came on as a late substitute in the second half as his new side fell to a narrow 2–1 defeat in Copenhagen.
Although Viborg were unable to secure a positive result on the night, Addo’s introduction marked an important personal milestone. After completing his winter transfer move, the winger had been waiting patiently for his opportunity to pull on the green shirt in competitive action.
His cameo offered a glimpse of the pace and directness that convinced Viborg to secure his signature earlier this year. While limited in minutes, the appearance signals the beginning of what he will hope is a promising chapter in Danish football.
For the 21-year-old, breaking into the squad at such a crucial stage of the season underlines the trust shown in him by the coaching staff. Despite the semi-final setback, Addo will now be eager to build on his debut and establish himself as a regular presence in Viborg’s attack.
