Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has revealed his intent to go all out in pursuit of Ghana's first victory in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, as the team gears up for a crucial rematch against Sudan in Libya.

Despite Ghana’s underwhelming start to the qualifying campaign—earning just two points from three matches in Group F—Addo emphasized that the team still has control over their fate.

Following a goalless draw at the Accra Sports Stadium, pressure has mounted on the four-time AFCON champions, who are now in desperate need of a win to keep their qualification hopes alive.

Speaking to the media after the draw, Addo admitted the challenges but remained hopeful.

"This is football. I can't make guarantees, not even about my own life—God could take it tomorrow. But we will give it everything, and I trust that effort will be rewarded," Addo said.

The coach stressed that despite their current position, Ghana’s path to AFCON 2025 is still in their hands. "The important thing is that we still control our destiny.

We must win the next game, and that's our focus," he added.

However, Addo was realistic in his assessment, cautioning that even a victory in the next game may not guarantee qualification.

"We can win in Libya and still not qualify, but we will take it one step at a time. With the way we performed, I’m confident we will succeed in the next match," he concluded.

Ghana now faces a must-win situation as they head to Libya, where they will look to secure their first victory and reignite their AFCON qualification campaign.
