Paul Scholes advises Manchester United to snap up Osimhen

Former England and Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has admonished his former club to sign red-hot attacker, Victor Osimhen this summer as the Nigerian is on the market after a brilliant and remarkable season in Turkey with Galatasaray as a loanee from Italian champions, SSC Napoli.
The 26-year-old made a huge impact and also cemented his name in history books during his loan spell with Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray in the 2024/25 season where he also won the Turkish Lig Cup, scoring a record 37 goals and providing 8 assists in 41 games during his short stint with the club as he also set a record for the most goals scored by a foreign player with 35 goals in a single Turkish season, surpassing Mario Jardel's 34 goals which was set in the 2000-2001 season.
With such impressive stats produced by the Nigerian star, he has seen to be on the radar of so many top European clubs and as Manchester United are desperate to sign a new striker following an underwhelming campaign, the United legend believes the Nigerian international could be the one to relieve them of their woes, as he thinks he is the answer to their many questions upfront.
“I think [Victor ] Osimhen, it sounds like a doable one,” Scholes told The Overlap Fan Debate. "When you talk about financial problems, Osimhen could be doable. But I would keep [Rasmus] Hojlund.
“I know he is not been great, but he’s a 22-year-old kid playing on his own for Manchester United the last two years.
“Manchester United should have at least three top centre forwards. I would have him and Osimhen. Him, Osimhen and Gyokeres,” the former England Champions League winner added.
