‎A Kumasi-based company, Pee Kaf Company Limited, has donated GHS 240,000 to support Ghana’s national football team ahead of the FIFA World Cup.

‎The donation was presented by the company’s Chief Executive, Alex Okyere, to the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, as part of efforts to boost the Black Stars’ preparations for the global tournament.

‎Mr Okyere said the gesture was in response to a call by President John Dramani Mahama for corporate institutions to support the national team. He described the contribution as a patriotic duty and expressed confidence in the team’s ability to make the country proud.

‎“I associate myself with this noble cause and recognise the pride the national team brings to Ghana,” he said, urging players to remain disciplined throughout the competition.

‎Receiving the donation, Mr Adams commended the company for its support, assuring that the funds would be used transparently to aid the team’s World Cup campaign. He also encouraged other businesses to follow suit and contribute towards Ghana’s quest for success on the world stage.

‎Ghana is preparing for another appearance at the World Cup, with hopes high that collective national support will inspire a strong showing at the tournament.
