PHOTOS: Moesha Bodoung makes massive donation to Tebu M/A Basic School

Actress and Instagram star, Moesha Bodoung after reading a story in the Junior Graphic about the plight of Tebu M/A Basic School near the Domeabra in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, on Monday played her role as an influence of the society.

This act is in line with her Non Government Organization, Moesha Foundation which aims to put smiles on the faces of children in any way they can.

In view of this, items like text books, pencils, pens, exercise books and 300 desks were presented to the school.

According to the head teacher, Emmanuel Badu, this gesture was not expected, “you know, when we had the interview with the representative from the Junior Graphic, we had no idea help as going to come this soon. We are grateful for this gesture by actress Moesha, the students are happy as well and now I can say, this is the beginning of great things to come.”

He also used the opportunity to encourage people to come to the aid of these children and make schooling interesting for them so that they can become the agents of change that we need in our society., “I want to encourage others to also come to our aid for the burden on us is very huge, the students do not want to come to school because, there are no desk, books, etc. I urge others to follow the steps of actress Moesha and also contribute their quota.”

Actress Moesha on the other hand who could not hold back her tears upon seeing the state of the school and how excited the students were in seeing the items she brought said, “the is just the beginning of what my team and I have in store for children. I love children and love to see them smile and happy like I am seeing today. Education is one aspect of lives that we as a nation need to support and I am glad we have down our part in on little way.”

Moesha, has acted in movies like, Pool Party, Bloodline, Grey Dawn, Rape Case, Cocoa Brown, Amakye and Dede, John and John and everyday People. As a graduate of the University of Ghana, Legon where she studied Theatre Arts, Moesha describes herself as principled, God fearing, fun to be with and is guided by the principle that, “whatever you find yourself doing, do it diligently because you may never know who is watching.
