Isaac Boakye King, a promising 15-year-old talent from Southampton, has committed his international future to the Black Stars of Ghana. Despite being eligible to play for England, Boakye feels a strong connection to his Ghanaian roots.

The former Chelsea Academy midfielder expressed his willingness to represent both Ghana and England but emphasized his desire to play for the Black Stars.

"I won’t say I prefer any national team. I will be happy to play for anyone as long as I am playing football and enjoying it," Boakye stated.

"I have always been close to Ghana, but I am ready to play for any national team. If it’s Ghana that comes first or England, I will take it.

England and Ghana have very talented players, but as a midfielder, I think I fit into any team. It will have to be Ghana at the international level."

Boakye has had spells with both Chelsea and Arsenal Academies and currently plays for the Southampton youth team.

During his three-week stay in Ghana, he has been training alongside top Ghanaian players such as Andre Ayew, Mubarak Wakaso, Kasim Adams, Benjamin Afutu, Isaac Coffie, and Alhassan Wakaso.

This commitment from a young talent like Boakye is a significant boost for the Black Stars as they continue to build a formidable team for future competitions.
