German-born Ghanaian striker Ragnar Ache played a crucial role in FC Kaiserslautern's thrilling 4-3 victory over Fortuna Düsseldorf in Bundesliga 2, marking a significant shift in their head-to-head history.

Historically disadvantaged with only two wins against Fortuna Düsseldorf’s nine, Kaiserslautern was determined to alter the narrative at the Merkur Spiel-Arena.

The away side started strong, with Daniel Hanslik scoring in the 14th minute to put them ahead.

However, Fortuna responded, with Ísak Bergmann Jóhannesson equalizing from the penalty spot in the 35th minute.

Hanslik then restored Kaiserslautern's lead with a header early in the second half.

Ache made his mark in the 61st minute, scoring a well-placed shot from outside the box to extend the lead to 3-2 following a strike from Daisuke Yokota.

Although Fortuna Düsseldorf mounted a late comeback with goals from Myron van Brederode and Felix Klaus, Kaiserslautern held on for the victory.

Ache's goal was his sixth in nine league appearances this season, showcasing his exceptional form. The team will now turn its attention to the upcoming DFB Pokal clash against VfB Stuttgart on October 29.
