Udinese youth star Raymond Asante has made history by becoming the first Ghanaian player to score over 20 goals in the Italian Primavera league.
The 18-year-old achieved this milestone with a quick-fire brace that helped his team secure a dramatic 11-10 victory on penalties after a 2-2 draw with Napoli in regulation time.
Asante's two goals were pivotal in the match. Napoli initially took the lead in the 19th minute, but Asante equalized for Udinese with a penalty in the 61st minute.
Just three minutes later, he struck again, putting Udinese ahead.
This impressive performance brought Asante's goal tally to 21 for the 2023/24 season, underscoring his prolific form.
With this victory, Udinese has advanced to the semi-finals of the promotional playoffs, where they will face Ascoli next Saturday. Asante's remarkable scoring ability will undoubtedly be a key factor in Udinese's quest for promotion.
