Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Suhum constituency, Frederick Opare-Ansah is wishing Muslims a successful Ramadan with a request that they should pray to Allah to save our country and the world from the Coronavirus pandemic.

On Tuesday, April 13, 2021, Muslims in Ghana joined the rest across the world in embarking on this year's 30-day fasting.

The annual observance of Ramadan is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam and lasts twenty-nine to thirty days, from one sighting of the crescent moon to the next.

In his well wishing message to the Islamic community, Mr. Opare-Ansah continuous prayers in this holy month can save Ghana from the 'clutches of this virus'.

"Even as we wish you successful Ramadan in these COVID-19 times, we urge you to continue remembering Ghana and the world at large in your holy prayers for Allah to redeem us from the clutches of this virus." His message read.
