Former Ghana Football Association(GFA) President, Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi says no coach should succumb to any form of pressure to select certain players he does not like or want.

According to the former FIFA council member Black Stars coaches and all other coaches should not allow themselves to be made puppets as the axe will fall on them in case results go south.

There has been suspicions that players are imposed on a lot of coaches handling the national teams by members of the Ghana Football Association.

He was speaking in an interview with GTV Sports Plus on Thursday evening when he made the assertion that coaches should not allow themselves to be pushed around.

''For me, it's no excuse for a coach to succumb to any form of pressure,'' Nyantakyi spoke on GTV Sports Plus.

''Coaches are professionals just like any other professional who are employed to do their work just as architects, engineers, surveyors and teachers and their professionalism must be respected by all.

''Their independence of judgements must be respected by all. At the end of the day, if a coach allows the FA president or somebody else-even outside the FA- to influence him to take a decision which is not his, the buck stops with him. He takes responsibility for it" he added.
