WAFU Zone B Tournament: Nigeria team officials stranded in Togo hotel for nonpayment of bills

Ahead of the finals of the 2018 West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Zone B tournament, some members of the Nigeria technical team and leader of the delegation have been left stranded after being locked up at Hotel La Concorde in Lomé, for nonpayment of bills; Ghanaguardian.com can confirm.

Our reporter Akakpo Agodzi reported that; yesterday, the officials extensively negotiated with the hotel manager before they were allowed to get the team Nigeria to training.

However, the report says no official were allowed to leave the hotel premises Sunday morning, as management demanded that their bills be paid in full.

Ghanaguardian.com can confirm 8 officials were locked up at their hotel.

According to the Nigeria team officials, a letter has long been sent to the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pennick to attend to the situation but nothing has been heard from his outfit after he promised settling the bills.
