Asante Kotoko midfielder Seth Kwadwo has described the departure of Albert Amoah as a major loss for the club, following the striker’s transfer to Libyan giants Al Ahli Benghazi.
Amoah, 23, joined Kotoko from Great Olympics last season and quickly became a key attacking figure, scoring 16 goals in 30 appearances and adding two goals in four CAF Confederation Cup matches.
“Albert Amoah’s departure is a big blow, but then, we also have to show our quality in his absence,” said Kwadwo, who recently earned a Man of the Match award in the Ghana Premier League.
Amoah’s move to Al Ahli Benghazi, one of Libya’s most decorated clubs, marks a significant step in his career, with the club regularly featuring in CAF inter-club competitions.
With Amoah gone, Kotoko will now look to restructure their attacking options, relying on midfield creativity and squad depth to maintain momentum in both domestic and continental campaigns.
The club is poised to return to domestic and continental dominance as they continue in their strides to restore their former glory.
