England-born Ghanaian striker Maleace Asamoah has completed a loan move from Wigan Athletic to Irish champions Shamrock Rovers until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old forward, who is the son of former Ghana international Derek Asamoah, will spend the remainder of the campaign in Ireland as he looks to gain more playing time and continue his development.
Shamrock Rovers manager Stephen Bradley welcomed the signing and spoke highly of the young striker, expressing confidence in his ability to strengthen the team’s attacking options.
Asamoah has built a reputation as a lively forward with pace and technical ability, attributes that Rovers hope will boost their ambitions in domestic and European competitions.
The move offers the Ghanaian-eligible striker a fresh opportunity to showcase his talent, while Shamrock Rovers gain an additional attacking option as they continue their campaign in the Irish top flight.
