Yirenkyi has made a bright start to the 2025/26 season, registering one goal and two assists in seven league appearances. He netted just before the international break in Nordsjaelland’s comeback victory over OB.

His fine club form also earned him valuable minutes with the Black Stars, featuring in both of Ghana’s 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Chad and Mali earlier this month where he showcased enormous amount of talent and grit in both games. His highlight of the international break came in the Matchday 8 game of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Mali when his ferocious strike rattled the crossbar in the mid minutes of the first half.

Days after his marvelous performances in the national colours, the 19-year old was ranked one of the Best youngsters (U20) players across Europe and also made it in the top ten ranked U20 Defensive Midfielders outside Europe's Top 5 leagues, all by the CIES rankings.

Yirenkyi will be back in action with Nordsjaelland when they face Midtjylland on Sunday, September 14.
