Swiss side FC Aarau have confirmed that Ghanaian forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh will remain at the club until June 2028 after activating an option in his contract.

‎The 24-year-old joined Aarau from fellow Swiss club FC Zürich last summer and has quickly established himself as a key figure in the team.

‎Afriyie Barnieh made an immediate impression on his debut by finding the back of the net, a moment that set the tone for a strong first season with the club. Since then, the Ghana international has continued to deliver consistent performances, becoming one of Aarau’s standout players in the current campaign.

‎His work rate, pace and eye for goal have made him an important part of Aarau’s attacking setup, earning the confidence of the club’s management to secure his long-term future.

‎The contract extension signals Aarau’s commitment to building around the talented forward as they look to strengthen their squad and achieve their ambitions in Swiss football over the coming years.
