Ghanaian gospel musician Celestine Donkor has opened up about a chilling spiritual attack she and her family endured, which she believes was carried out using black magic.

The Agbeboloo singer described the moment her husband and she were left stunned after receiving unsettling news from the attendant of a studio they own together. According to Celestine, the attendant discovered 21 white eggs and a calabash filled with various grains—beans, rice, millet, maize, and groundnuts—mysteriously placed at the entrance of the studio.

“My husband and I own a photo and rehearsal studio. We had a call from the studio attendant one morning in February last year, only to be told that someone has come to put 21 white eggs, a calabash filled with grains (beans, rice, millet, maize, groundnuts). The calabash had a white cloth lining and a piece of paper with our names written on it,” she said.

The discovery deeply unsettled the couple, with Celestine pointing out the peculiar timing of the incident. It happened on a Friday morning, a day of personal significance as her husband was born on that day.

"Guess what, it was dropped in the early hours of a Friday, knowing that my husband is a Friday-born," she said.

In the wake of the unsettling event, Celestine and her husband sought spiritual protection through prayer, joining their prayer partners to intercede. Inspired by scriptures from Isaiah 54:17 and Isaiah 7:7, Celestine said this spiritual battle eventually led to the creation of her gospel song I Carry Fire.

"We entered prayer with our partners, using Isaiah 54:17 and Isaiah 7:7, which inspired the song ‘I Carry Fire,’” she revealed.

Further revelations suggested that the black magic might have been linked to someone within the gospel music industry. “We were told by multiple sources that it was coming from someone in our industry,” Celestine added.

Since its release, I Carry Fire has resonated deeply with gospel music lovers, receiving praise for its empowering message of faith and divine protection.
