The family of Ghanaian highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has issued a stern warning to the musician’s former manager, Philip Kwabena Agyeman Appiah-Kubi, also known as Roman Fada, over what they describe as the “unauthorised and misleading circulation” of information regarding the late singer’s funeral.

In a statement dated November 6, 2025, the family expressed grave concern about Roman Fada’s recent conduct, which they said was “detrimental to ongoing family discussions and official arrangements.”

The release, signed by Akosua Serwaa Fosuh, wife of the late musician, and Ernestina Brempomaa Fosuh, his sister, accused Roman Fada of spreading false information and distributing unapproved funeral invitations while falsely presenting himself as Daddy Lumba’s current manager.

“Mr. Appiah-Kubi is not a member of the Fosuh family and holds no moral, legal, or traditional authority to speak or act on its behalf,” the statement emphasized.

The family clarified that Roman Fada no longer served as Daddy Lumba’s manager prior to the singer’s passing and has no role in the funeral’s organization or communication. They have urged the media, fans, and the general public to disregard any funeral announcements or invitations not issued through the Fosuh Family Communications Office or its officially appointed representatives.
“The family is united and working in good faith to ensure that the funeral of our beloved Charles Kwadwo Fosuh is conducted with the dignity, respect, and love he deserves,” the statement added. “We will not allow misinformation, opportunism, or unauthorised individuals to derail this process.”

The family also cautioned that if Roman Fada continues to impersonate or circulate false details, they will take legal action through the appropriate authorities.

They concluded by assuring the public that arrangements for Daddy Lumba’s funeral are ongoing, and that verified information will be released in due course through official family channels.
