Dambai man arrested for allegedly biting off wife’s ear granted bail

Police in Dambai have arrested Emmanuel Addai, the prime suspect in a domestic violence case where he allegedly bit off his wife’s ear during a dispute.

The incident, which took place on September 5 at Banka, a community in the Dambai township, reportedly occurred after Addai returned from a funeral at Wonkayaw and attacked his wife, Madam Cecilia Fordjour, while she was preparing food.

A police source confirmed that Addai has been granted bail but is required to report to the station on Thursday, September 11, 2025, to assist with ongoing investigations.

According to police, Madam Fordjour received treatment at a nearby hospital; however, due to delays in reaching the facility, doctors were unable to reattach her severed ear.

The suspect is expected to be arraigned before the Jasikan Circuit Court in the coming days as investigations continue.
