English-Ghanaian starlet Michelle Agyemang Wins 2025 Golden Girl Award
6th November 2025
Michelle Agyemang, the English-Ghanaian forward, has been named the 2025 Golden Girl, awarded to the best female player under the age of 21 by Tuttosport. The Arsenal striker, currently on loan at Brighton, will receive the accolade at the official ceremony on December 1, 2025.
Agyemang’s recognition comes after her standout performances at the Euro Women’s Championship, where she scored two goals to help England defend their title in Switzerland.
Golden Girl Legacy
Agyemang becomes the fourth English player to win a Tuttosport youth award, joining:
- Wayne Rooney
- Raheem Sterling
- Jude Bellingham
Despite her rising trajectory, Agyemang will miss the rest of the 2024/25 season due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury, a setback that has ruled her out of club and international action.
Golden Boy Winner
In the men’s category, Desire Doue of Paris Saint Germain claimed the Golden Boy award, beating Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, who won the Kopa Trophy at the Ballon d’Or.
The Golden Boy and Golden Girl awards are presented by Italian newspaper Tuttosport, with winners selected by a panel of 50 top sports journalists across Europe.
