FC Samartex  snatch last-minute equalizer to draw with Accra Lions

In a thrilling Friday night Premier League match in Accra, FC Samartex 1996 pulled off a dramatic late equalizer to secure a 1-1 draw against Accra Lions FC at the University of Ghana Stadium.

Accra Lions took the lead in the 43rd minute, courtesy of Abdul Shakun-Abubakar, and looked set to claim all three points.

However, Samartex’s Benedict Afful found the net in added time, denying the Lions a home victory and ensuring both teams shared the points.

The draw places the defending champions Samartex in fourth with 14 points, while Accra Lions remain just above the relegation zone.
