MTN FA Cup champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko have officially presented the 2024/25 FA Cup trophy to the life patron of the club, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, in a symbolic ceremony held at the Manhyia Palace on Wednesday, June 18.

The Porcupine Warriors secured their 10th FA Cup title on Sunday with a dramatic 2-1 victory over lower-tier side Golden Kick FC at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

Striker Kwame Opoku starred in the final, scoring both goals for Kotoko — the opener early in the match and a decisive late penalty after Golden Kick had leveled through a stunning Bless Ege free kick.

After returning to Kumasi on Monday, the Kotoko team, led by Interim Management Committee Chairman Nana Apinkrah Akwasi Awuah, Technical Director Malik Jabir, and advisor Kwesi Appiah, visited Otumfuo to present the trophy and pay homage.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II commended the team for their fighting spirit and urged them to raise Ghana’s flag high in the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup, where Kotoko will represent Ghana as FA Cup winners.

The ceremony marked a proud moment for the club and its supporters, celebrating both the silverware and a renewed ambition to make a strong impact on the continental stage.
