1st October 2024
The win extends Offenbach's head-to-head record against Kassel to eight wins, four losses, and seven draws.
Offenbach took control early, with Boubacar Barry heading in Marc Wachs’ free-kick just two minutes in.
Berlinski doubled the lead in the 25th minute, scoring on a rebound, and Dima Nazarov added a third with a pinpoint shot into the corner just three minutes later.
Berlinski netted again before halftime with a stunning volley to make it 4-0.
The second half saw more Offenbach dominance. Captain Wachs scored from 30 meters after a defensive lapse from Kassel’s keeper.
Shortly after, substitute Stephan Mensah dazzled with a solo effort, weaving through defenders before slotting home in the 59th minute.
Despite late consolation goals from Kassel’s Hadzic and Liesche Prieto, Offenbach cruised to a comfortable derby win. They will face Eintracht Frankfurt’s second team next.
