Ghanaian forward, Antoine Serlom Semenyo has reacted to his contract extension at English Premier League club, AFC Bournemouth.

The forward signed a long term contract extension with the Cherries after an unabating run of impressive performances during his two seasons campaign with the Dorset outfit.

The 25-year-old officially committed his future to the club for five more years until 2030 on Tuesday, July 1. He expressed his excitement over the new deal, citing how grateful he his to the club and its staff and the assurance of his commitment to the club going forward.

"I've grown so much at the club, both on and off the pitch, and I'm really happy to have signed ahead of returning for pre-season," Semenyo said.

"From the fans to the staff and my teammates, I can’t speak highly enough of the people around the club. It’s a great place to be and I’m excited to get back to Bournemouth and continue the hard work with the new season just around the corner."

Semenyo had an impressive debut season with the Premier League club, scoring eight (8) goals and grabbing two (2) assists to his name in 34 appearances across all competitions in the 2023/2014 season.

He went on to have an outstanding season in the subsequent 2024/2025 season where he scored eleven (11) goals and provided five (5) assists in 38 games across all competitions which went a long way to attracting interests from top clubs like Tottenham Hotspurs and Manchester United and has been on the radar of other clubs across Europe.

He is capped 27 times by the senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars with three goals under his belt.
