Ghanaian international Antoine Semenyo has officially extended his stay with AFC Bournemouth, signing a long-term contract that will keep him at the club until June 2030.
The new deal comes on the heels of an impressive 2024/25 season, during which the 24-year-old forward was a standout performer for the Cherries. Semenyo netted 11 Premier League goals and provided five assists, playing a crucial role in Bournemouth's historic campaign.
His form had reportedly drawn attention from top English clubs such as Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, but the new contract reaffirms Semenyo's commitment to the project at the Vitality Stadium.
In total, the Ghana forward recorded 13 goals and seven assists across all competitions, helping Bournemouth reach a club-record 56 points and equal their best-ever ninth-place finish in the Premier League.
Reflecting on the extension, Semenyo expressed his appreciation for the club and its environment:
“From the fans to the staff and my teammates, I can’t speak highly enough of the people around the club. It’s a great place to be and I’m excited to get back to Bournemouth and continue the hard work with the new season just around the corner.”
The new contract not only ends summer transfer speculation surrounding the Black Stars forward but also signals Bournemouth’s ambition to retain key talents as they aim to build on their recent success in the English top flight.
