The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association will on Tuesday 5th November 2019 elect a vice president to assist the president in carrying out duties at the FA.

Elections was due to have been conducted on Thursday 7th November but it has now been brought forward to Tuesday at the GFA secretariat.

There has been a scramble for the GFA vice Presidency with the likes of Messrs Dr.Tony Aubynn, Randy Abbey,Mark Addo , George Amoako and Frederick Acheampong all jostling for the vice presidency position.

In times past the GFA president had to choose his own vice president but with the coming into force of the new statutes in September this year the 12 member Executive Council will have to elect one of its members to the vice presidency.

But just before they vote for a vice president, they must conduct an election to elect one member from the RFA to fill the last slot left on the Executive Council and that election will be between Upper East Region FA Chairman Salifu Shaibu Zida and Central Region FA Boss Robert Duncan.
