Promising Ghanaian defender Frank Iruzie has joined Lithuanian top-flight side FK Sirijus Klaipėda on a season-long loan as he continues his football development in Europe.

‎The 20-year-old left-back, who emerged from Frienhoff Football Academy, will spend the campaign gaining valuable first-team experience in Lithuania’s premier division.

‎Iruzie is regarded as one of the promising young defenders to come out of Ghana in recent years, having previously attracted international attention during a trial with Spanish club RC Celta de Vigo.

‎His move to Klaipėda is seen as a key step in his professional growth, offering the opportunity to compete regularly in European football while continuing to refine his defensive abilities.

‎At Sirijus Klaipėda, the Ghanaian youngster is expected to strengthen the club’s defensive options while gaining exposure to a more competitive environment.

For Iruzie, the loan spell represents another important chapter in his journey as he looks to build a career in Europe and follow in the footsteps of several Ghanaian players who have risen through smaller European leagues before making bigger moves.
