Ghana’s First Lady, Lordina Dramani Mahama, joined President John Dramani Mahama to host the Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Terrance Michael Drew, and his wife, Diani Jimesha Prince-Drew, at a formal luncheon held at the Presidency in Accra.

The gathering was part of the Prime Minister’s official trip to Ghana, aimed at reinforcing diplomatic relations and exploring new avenues for cooperation between the West African nation and the Caribbean state.

Ahead of the luncheon, the First Lady held a warm and engaging discussion with Mrs. Prince-Drew. Their interaction centred on the deep historical connections linking Ghana and the Caribbean, many of which stem from shared ancestry and centuries-old cultural exchanges.

During the meeting, the two women reflected on the similarities in traditions, values and cultural identity that continue to unite people across the regions. They also spoke about the importance of fostering stronger partnerships that can support social progress and economic development.

Their exchange highlighted the growing role of cultural diplomacy in strengthening global relationships, particularly among nations connected by history and heritage.

The visit further reinforced the longstanding bond between Ghana and Caribbean countries — a relationship grounded in shared roots, cultural affinity and a collective vision for future collaboration.
