Gospel musician Selina Boateng confirms divorce after six years of marriage

Gospel artiste Selina Boateng has disclosed that her six-year marriage has ended in divorce.
Speaking in an interview centred on marriage, the award-winning musician revealed that she is no longer weighed down by questions about her marital struggles since she is now single.
Selina explained that she would not consider changing her name for marriage again, adding that she sees nothing wrong with being a divorcee, even as a gospel artiste.
“I don’t feel bad or stigmatized for walking out of my marriage. My line is choked… I have suitors. I am ready. As to whether I will marry a pastor again, only time and God will tell,” she said.
She also used the opportunity to advise the younger generation against rushing into marriage due to societal or peer pressure.
According to her, many people conceal their true characters before marriage, which often leads to challenges later on.
“Be very vigilant… God has given us free will, use it wisely,” she cautioned.
Selina Boateng married Isaac Berchie on December 7, 2019, at the Church of Pentecost (Magazine) Maakro Central in Kumasi.
