The Governing Board of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), chaired by Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has conducted a familiarisation tour of major GPHA-owned facilities to gain deeper insight into their operations and strategic priorities.
The tour, held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, covered the Jamestown Fishing Harbour, the Tema Fishing Harbour, the GPHA Health Post at the Tema Fishing Harbour, the GPHA Main Clinic, and the International Maritime Hospital (IMaH).
During the visits, management teams at the various facilities delivered comprehensive briefings to the Board, outlining their mandates, daily operations, key achievements, and medium- to long-term development plans. The presentations also highlighted operational challenges and identified areas requiring improvement.
Speaking during the tour, Mr Asiedu Nketiah commended the management and staff of the facilities for their commitment and effective leadership. He assured them of the Board’s willingness to provide the necessary policy direction and support to enhance operational efficiency, improve service delivery, and fully harness the potential of GPHA’s assets.
