Hearts were deserved winners - Nsoatreman coach Maxwell Konadu
26th September 2023
Nsoatreman FC's head coach, Maxwell Konadu, conceded that Hearts of Oak deserved their victory in Sunday's Premier League game at the Accra Sports Stadium.
An early goal from Congolese striker Kashala Wanet Ramos secured all three points for Hearts of Oak, marking the club's first win of the season after suffering an away defeat to Real Tamale United in their opening game last weekend.
Konadu, who joined Nsoatreman FC ahead of the season, acknowledged that Hearts of Oak merited the victory, citing their dominance in both halves of the game.
"It was a good game, a very difficult one. We had a red card and brought in fresh legs to bolster the squad. It was a good game for Hearts, and you can't take anything away from them. They deserved to win," Konadu told StarTimes.
"They (Nsoatreman) did their best, but it wasn't just enough. We were not pushing hard enough. Hearts were keeping possession of the ball, and that didn't help us find our rhythm.
"We have a lot of work to do, especially in our away games. Going forward, we will strive to get better results away from home this season."
