I did'nt take bribe from any club - Error prone Dwarfs goalkeeper
6th August 2021
Goalkeeper of relegated Ebusua Dwarfs Razak Issah has swept aside allegations that he took bribe and conceded questionable goals that sent the Central Regional team down.
The goalkeeper who gained prominence for scoring directly from a free kick was also in the news for conceding two lame goals in matches against Elmina Sharks and Asante Kotoko.
Against Kumasi Asante Kotoko, the goalkeeper conceded a cheap goal after coming out of his goal and failing to get the ball for Kotoko to score while in their match against Elmina Sharks he deliberately punched a Sharks player in his penalty box when the ball was in his grips.
Fans of Ebusua Dwarfs blamed him for taking bribes from teams in order to gift them goals like he did in the above mentioned games something which the goalie vehemently denies.
“There is no truth in the bribery allegations levelled against me. No club or football administrator has ever given me money to put my performance under compromise,” Issah told Onua FM Sports.
“It was a real mistake that happened in our game between Elmina Sharks and Kotoko” he vehemently denied the allegations.
The player has instead shifted their relegation onto the fan violence that prevented Ebusua Dwarfs from completing their match against Legon Cities which resulted in three points and three goals going to Legon Cities while three points was ducked from their points.
“Our game against Legon Cities sent us to relegation and the referee on the day did not help us with his decision. We had a bad day against Legon Cities” Razak Issah added.
