Asante Kotoko have confirmed the return of forward Albert Amoah, bringing the attacker back to Kumasi on a loan deal from Libyan side Ahly Bengarzy.

The move marks a swift homecoming for Amoah, who only left Kotoko earlier this season after Ahly Bengarzy moved to sign him in the aftermath of the Porcupine Warriors’ exit from the CAF Confederation Cup. Kotoko were knocked out of the competition following defeat to Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca, a setback that prompted changes both on and off the pitch.

In a brief statement, the club welcomed the striker back, signalling their belief that he can make an immediate impact as they push on with the rest of the campaign.

Amoah is a familiar face to Kotoko supporters, having previously impressed with his energy and work rate in the final third. His return is expected to provide a boost to the club’s attacking options as they look to rediscover consistency and firepower.

For the player, the loan move offers a chance to quickly settle back into familiar surroundings and revive his momentum after a short spell abroad. For Kotoko, it represents an opportunity to strengthen the squad with a proven option who understands the club’s demands and expectations.

With the season entering a decisive phase, Amoah’s return will be closely watched by fans hoping his presence can help spark a strong finish for one of Ghana’s most decorated clubs.
